Two to three days, start to finish. Our crew delivers the sauna, builds it on site, and cleans up. You're taking your first sauna by the end of the week.
Two things. A level pad, gravel or concrete, for the sauna to sit on. And an electrician to wire the heater; we don't do electrical, but we walk your electrician through exactly what's needed, and it's a routine job for them. That's it.
Everything. The sauna itself, the heater, sealer, a bucket and ladle, and our crew, who deliver it and build it on your property. You don't source anything or hire anyone. When we leave, you take a sauna.
Spruce that's been treated with heat and steam instead of chemicals. The wood is heated in a sealed chamber until its structure changes: sugars that attract rot and insects break down, and the cell walls tighten so the boards stop absorbing moisture the way raw wood does.
The result is wood that's stable and resistant to decay without anything added to it. Pressure-treated lumber gets its protection from chemicals forced into the grain, which you don't want in a room built to make you sweat at 180 degrees. Thermopressed spruce is just spruce, heat, and water. It holds up outside, and it's clean to breathe in.
